In the growing community of South Jerrabomberra, we partnered with RAM Constructions, The Village Building Co. and Spiire to deliver Town Park, a new public recreation space that combines a large playground, a learn-to-ride zone, and a fitness station. Designed to promote inclusive outdoor activity for all ages, the space needed a surfacing solution that was durable, compliant with safety standards, cost-effective, and free-draining, ensuring year-round usability with minimal maintenance.

Solution

We installed Play Matta Original over F35 and F55 shock pad systems to ensure a CFH of up to 3 metres, delivering certified impact protection that meets Australian safety standards. The site also included fitness equipment by A-space, delivered in collaboration with Parkequip. We worked closely with The Village Building Co. and Spiire architects to manage design modifications and colour changes that complemented the equipment and enhanced the space. A standout feature was the custom-designed compass area, a learn-to-ride zone with visual interest and engagement.
