NewlandsCollege Special Education Unit faced issues with their existing rubber surfacewhich had become worn, dark, and uninviting. The college wanted a brighter,more functional area that ensured student safety.

Solution

We proposedcovering the existing poured rubber with Play Matta Original tiles. Aspoured-in-place (PiP) surfacing wears, it often loses safety compliance, andpatching is usually a temporary fix. Our Play Matta Re-Cover solutionguarantees long-lasting quality and performance, eliminating the need forexpensive repairs and preventing the PiP from ending up in a landfill.

Implementation

We used mid and light green Play Matta tiles to brighten the area. A lighter walking path was included, designed to create a trail for the children to follow, enhancing both functionality and visual appeal.
